Vents Perspex & Glass!

Was able to start adding a few details tonight. Mainly a few vents to aid cooling, but we also managed to fit the perspex to the control panel and marquee areas. We chose to use real glass to cover the screen this time. We’ll never go back to perspex! Cutting the CP Perspex. Done. T-mould fits. Admin panel. Marquee area. Another angle. A step back. Screen Bezel & CP Locks

Added the screen bezel tonight. Also added a set of locks to stop the control panel moving during game play, and cut some more slots into the front. Even managed to fit the speakers. Blank bezel. Control Panel, T-cutting & an Invader!

Did a little head scratching tonight, The control panel has been designed to house all the PC components. This will make it easier to transport the arcade or to perform maintenance.  Also started to cut the edges ready for the T-mould. Added something special to the front door of the cab! Started the control panel. Lifts forwards for access. Then slides out to access the PC. Closed. Cutting the slots for t-moulding. What’s this? An Invader! For the front door. Another angle. Got the signature  TFT monitor bracket made. You’ll only see this from the rear once inside the cab, it will be painted a different colour to the rest of the cab also. Its just a little something you make us smile if and when we have to open the rear of the cab. Its the things you don’t see sometimes that make all the difference. Drawing skillz. Cut out! Bought a screen today. Just trying to figure the best place to have in these pics. Also managed to get the speaker grills in place. Also had time to add the keyboard drawer and front door! On a role! New screen. Trial fitting. Looks about right! Adding the speaker grills. Looks great! Added a marquee clamps. Just needs perspex now. Keyboard drawer. Open. Added a front door also....

After finishing the Street Fighter Arcade we decided it would be best to do things in pairs! Wol had always loved the classic Space Invader Arcade machines from the 70s.
