One of the main hurdles we face (from a electronics point of view at least). Was how to out put the Gameboy’s screen to a VGA monitor. We have two options here. One is to simply use a PC with a Gameboy emulator (easy but effective). Or…. Hack the original hardware to output a VGA signal. It’s very difficult to do this, especially if you have no experience with FPGAs or oscilloscopes. In the screen shots below you find a screenshot from a PC running an emulator. This has had a special filter applied to try and emulate the original screen. The other pic is of the wiring diagram for the Gamboy’s video display!
